A mental health therapist is the doctor that can solve your issues through talking. When going to a therapist is just like going and talking to a friend. You have to consider your doctor a close friend to which you can tell anything. By law, therapists are obliged to keep confidential anything that happens at a session. The therapist gives advices and listens to any though you might have. He then analyzes everything you have said and draws a conclusion. The therapist might give you a treatment or not, depending on what your diagnosis is. For example for self esteem issues a therapist can make you see that you are more than you think. Improving your self esteem takes time but in the end that certain person will walk with confidence. To become a therapist one has to be mentally stable and very well informed.
After all , we are talking about people`s health and life. Just like any other doctor this job means great responsibility and not many can rise to the task. Also there are many mental health therapists that work in collaboration with court houses. So, whenever a person is condamned or is assumed to have mental problems that person is sent to a therapist that can give a certain diagnosis. Also, people who are condamned and are set free but have to take mental health therapy come to the doctors office to do his punishment. Not many doctors collaborate with court houses because it`s quite unpleasant.
In the end, we have seen what a mental health therapist is, so, if you ever have any problems , small ones like nail biting, fear of hights, insomnia etc, a therapist can help you solve them. There are many therapists and choosing one can be difficult so it`s best to first get a recommendation and not go just like that to the first therapist that you come across. Each therapist has it`s own area of expertise so it`s best to go to the one that suites your issues.
